Place: Bergamo – Palazzo Agliardi
Date: September 7th to September 28th
Art director: Giacinto Di Pietrantonio
Exhibition design: Giovanni Levanti
Palazzo Agliardi for an exhibition in five scenes equivalent to the five rooms on the ground floor of the eighteenth-century palace. The title hints at the doubts and puzzlement necessarily present in the initial stages of the project.
Scene #1 “Landscape and positioning” ( gps series)
An introduction to the domestic scene. The main character is the landscape: the one represented both in the large antique paintings on the walls of the room and the small works in mixed media of the “gps series”.
Scene #2 “Looks like a cat”
The affections and memory room at home. The Gobbalunga curles up like a huge cat in front of the fireplace. The lamp Cromatica sheds a coloured and warm light in the semi-darkness.
Scene # 3 ” The human candor”
In the large central hall the installation that gives the exhibition its title: the rocking horse Candore leads the Xito, the Sneaker and twelve clocks Mozia: a clear reference both to the chariot of the sun represented in the frescoes on the ceiling and the popular “Sicilian cart “.
Scene # 4 “ Domestic stability”
The neoclassical room is characterized by an extreme symmetry and stability. The money box Soldino, resembling a pine cone, is placed under a painting whose protagonist is luck. The seesaw Aeiou introduces asymmetry and instability.
Scene # 5 “The equipment”
Photos and drawings tell about the tools and instruments needed while projecting.
