“I wanted to call this occasional table “Souvenir,” or rather that small object which reminds one of a place or a country where one has been, especially as a tourist. The table I have  designed is reminiscient of a nest and that is what I have called it. With the neat and essential layout of all its components it simply wants to be present. It is not a neutral  and sad furnishing complement  but a warm, festive presence in the home.” (New products – November 1991 – Cassina)
